BINDERS

STYRENE ACRYLIC COPOLYMERS

Styrene acrylic copolymers are APEO (alkyl phenol ethoxylate)-free binders used in most interior and exterior paints, sealants, two-component cement-based sealants, graphite, quartz protective coatings, moisture-proofing paints, and many other application areas. All styrene acrylic copolymer emulsions have workability, elastic modulus, water resistance, and crack-bridging properties.

POLIMER AKRILIK

The pure acrylic polymer is APEO (alkyl phenol ethoxylate) free and has very good adhesion and abrasion resistance. Pure acrylic provides very good weatherability. It is suitable for most gloss and non-gloss paints for interior and exterior applications, including kitchens and bathrooms requiring water resistance and yellowing resistance, as well as paints and primers for concrete floors.

KOPOLIMERI VINIL-AKRILIK

Pure acrylic copolymer is APEO (alkyl phenol ethoxylate) free and is the best choice for paints with high abrasion resistance, water resistance and durability, compared to all other vinyl acetate-based copolymers. This compound is versatile and easy to formulate. Vinyl-acrylic copolymer is used in a wide range of applications, for most interior paints from matte to semi-gloss, graffiti, primer and plaster.

REZINAT ALKIDE

Alkyd resins are polyester-based materials that are modified with oils or fatty acids. Alkyd resins are used in primers and varnishes for wood and metals, special paints for metals, fast-drying paints, special paints for vehicles, high-gloss alkyd paints, varnishes for wood and metals, and road paint. Depending on the length of the oil chain, alkyd resins have different drying times after application.

REZINAT AKRILIKE

Acrylic resins are used for the production of road paints. Their advantages are:

  • Fast drying
  • Resistant to weather and other environmental influences
  • Broad compatibility with many solvents
  • High resistance to corrosion, water, chemicals and salts
  • Resistant to bacteria, mold and fungi

COVERING

The capping agent is ammonia, formaldehyde, APEO (alkyl phenol ethoxylate) free, intended for use in water-based and other paints. It is used in paint formulations as a partial replacement for TiO2 and other fillers. The capping agent acts as a fine inorganic filler between the TiO2 particles.

SOLVENT

Solvents are used to dissolve, suspend, or extract other materials, usually without chemically changing either the solvent or the other materials. They are used in fuels and in chemical synthesis. In paint formulations, solvents dissolve or disperse various components (such as pigments and resins), giving the paint the desired consistency for application.

Ksilen

It is used as a solvent in the paint and varnish industry.

Toluen

It is used as a solvent in the paint and varnish industry.

Monopropilen Glikol

Used to adjust drying time, as well as to aid in freeze/thaw characteristics.

White Spirit

It is used as a solvent for paints and varnishes, ink driers, color printing of fabrics, cleaning and degreasing of metals, writing inks, furniture preparation, dry cleaning industries, shoe and floor polishing, in dry cleaning formulations and in the rubber industry.

Mono propylene glycol

It is used as a solvent in the paint and varnish industry, writing inks, in the production of non-ionic detergents, and in the papermaking industry.

Butil diglikol acetat

It acts as a solvent, leveling agent and binder. It improves the flow of many varnishes, even at low concentrations. It is used for paints and varnishes (including emulsion paints and varnishes), printing inks (screen printing ink), wood stains and furniture polishes.

Ester Alkool (2,2,4-Trimetil-1,3-pentanediol monoisobutirat)

It is a water-soluble coupling agent used in plastic paints. It offers good characteristics such as abrasion resistance, color development and stability in paints.

ADDITIVES

Additives are used to:

• Modify surface tension
• Improve flow properties
• Control chip formation
• Improve final appearance
• Control foam formation
• Improve pigment stability

CELLULOSE

Hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) is a non-ionic, water-soluble, white powder polymer. HEC dissolves easily in hot or cold water, yielding clear solutions with viscosities ranging from 5000 mPa·s, 15000 mPa·s, 30000 mPa·s.
HEC is used as a binder, paint polymer, precipitation inhibitor, flow reducer, slip and workability enhancer, stabilizing and suspending agent, stability enhancer and thickener. It is recommended in paint technologies.

PAINT THICKENER

Paint thickeners are synthetic non-ionic admixtures used to create viscosity and provide high flow and leveling in latex paints. Paint thickeners can be used in a variety of paint formulations.

SURFAKTANT

Surfactants are phosphate esters that serve to improve gloss and color in water-based latex paints. The advantages of surfactants are: improved stability of the finished latex, excellent wetting and pigment dispersion, low coagulation in the finished latex, improved freeze/thaw resistance, improved substrate wetting.

NEUTRALIZING AGENT

Neutralizing agents are organoamine mixtures and are stabilizing additives designed for easy incorporation and long-term pH stability in all types of water-based latex paints.

FOAM CONTROL AGENTS

Foam control agents are designed to control foam formation in water-based and alkyd paints. Foam control agents are also known as antifoam agents.

DISTRIBUTION AGENTS

Dispersing agents are used to disperse pigments in emulsions and silicone resin paints. They are recommended for acrylic, styrene acrylic and vinyl acrylic formulations.

PRESERVATIVE (BIOCIDE)

This ingredient is used to avoid deterioration and degradation of aqueous systems caused by bacteria, fungi, and yeasts in the paint industry.

ANTIFUNGI AGENTS

Antifungal agents are used in water-based materials. These agents are used in paints, dyes, insulators, inks, textiles, and laminates.

AGENTS AGAINST THE CHIPA

Anti-caking agents are methyl ethyl ketoxime which is used for paints that dry under ambient conditions. They are used for alkyd resins with different oil composition lengths, drying oils, alkyd resins modified with styrene and vinyl toluene, and epoxy ester resins.

PAINT DRYERS

Paint driers act as an oxidative catalyst and drier. They promote rapid surface and interior drying in paints and varnishes.

Chargers

Calcium carbonate is the most widely used mineral in the paint industry both as a filler and as a paint pigment, due to its distinctive white color. Calcium carbonate is very fine, easy to disperse and has a high purity of white limestone. The main application of calcium carbonate is in: paints (interior and exterior paints, in synthetic and oil systems), in the rubber, paper, plastic and insulation industries.

ZINC PHOSPHATE

Zinc phosphate is a white anti-corrosive pigment for protective paints.

PIGMENTS

TITANIUM DIOXIDE

Titanium Dioxide is the world’s leading pigment for providing whiteness, brightness and coverage.

COLOR PIGMENTS

Color pigments are inorganic pigments based mainly on iron oxide. These pigments are available in various colors, such as red, black, brown, yellow, orange, green, blue, and have various fields of application.
