BINDERS
STYRENE ACRYLIC COPOLYMERS
Styrene acrylic copolymers are APEO-free (alkylphenol ethoxylate-free) binders used in most interior and exterior paints, coatings, two-component cement-based insulation systems, textured finishes (grafiato), quartz protective coatings, moisture-resistant paints, and many other applications. All styrene acrylic copolymer emulsions offer excellent workability, elastic modulus, water resistance, and crack-bridging capabilities.
PURE ACRYLIC POLYMER
The pure acrylic polymer is APEO-free and provides excellent adhesion and abrasion resistance. It ensures outstanding durability under weather exposure and is suitable for most glossy and matte paints used indoors and outdoors, including kitchens and bathrooms that require water and yellowing resistance, as well as for floor coatings and primers for concrete.
VINYL-ACRYLIC COPOLYMER

The vinyl-acrylic copolymer is APEO-free and the top choice for high scrub resistance, water resistance, and durability, outperforming all other vinyl acetate-based copolymers. It is versatile and easy to formulate. Vinyl-acrylic copolymers are used in a wide range of interior paint applications, from flat to semi-gloss finishes, textured coatings (grafiato), primers, and plasters.
ALKYD RESINS
Alkyd resins are polyester-based materials modified with oils or fatty acids. They are used in primers and varnishes for wood and metals, specialty coatings for metal surfaces, quick-drying paints, automotive coatings, glossy alkyd paints, and road marking paints. Depending on the oil chain length, alkyd resins offer different drying times after application.
ACRYLIC RESINS
Acrylic resins are primarily used in the production of road marking paints. Their advantages include:
- Fast drying
- Weather and environmental resistance
- Broad compatibility with many solvents
- High resistance to corrosion, water, chemicals, and salts
- Resistance to bacteria, mold, and fungi
OPACIFIER
The opacifier is ammonia- and formaldehyde-free and APEO-free, intended for use in water-based paints and other coatings. It serves as a partial replacement for TiO₂ and other fillers in paint formulations. The opacifier acts as an inorganic filler with ultra-fine particles positioned between TiO₂ particles.
SOLVENTS
Solvents are used to dissolve, suspend, or extract other materials—typically without chemically altering either the solvent or the dissolved substance. They are widely used in fuel blends and chemical syntheses. In paint formulations, solvents dissolve or disperse various components (such as pigments and resins), providing the desired consistency for application.
XYLENE
Used as a solvent in paint and lacquer industries.
TOLUENE
Used as a solvent in paint and lacquer industries.
MONOPROPYLENE GLYCOL
Regulates drying time and aids freeze/thaw characteristics.
MONOETHYLENE GLYCOL
Fully miscible in water and many organic solvents. Used in paints and emulsion polymerization.
WHITE SPIRIT
A solvent for paints and lacquers, paint thinners, fabric dye printing, metal degreasing, writing inks, furniture preparation, dry cleaning formulations, shoe and floor polishes, and rubber industry applications.
MONO PROPYLENE GLYCOL
Used as a solvent in paint and lacquer production, ink manufacturing, non-ionic detergent production, and the paper industry.
BUTYL DIGLYCOL ACETATE
Acts as a solvent, leveling agent, and coalescing agent. It enhances the flow of many lacquers, even at low concentrations. Used in paints and lacquers (including emulsion-based products), screen printing inks, wood stains, and furniture varnishes.
ESTER ALCOHOL (2,2,4-TRIMETHYL-1,3-PENTANEDIOL MONOISOBUTYRATE)

ADDITIVES
Additives are used for:

• Controlling skin formation
• Enhancing the final appearance

• Improving pigment stability
CELLULOSE
Hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) is a non-ionic, water-soluble white powder polymer. It dissolves easily in both hot and cold water, forming clear solutions with viscosities ranging from 5,000 mPa·s to 30,000 mPa·s.
HEC is used as a binder, paint polymer, anti-settling agent, flow reducer, slip and workability enhancer, stabilizing and suspending agent, durability booster, and thickener. It is recommended in paint technology.
PAINT THICKENER
Paint thickeners are non-ionic synthetic co-agents used to develop viscosity and ensure smooth flow and leveling in latex paints. They can be used in various paint formulations.
SURFACTANT
Surfactants are phosphate esters used to enhance gloss and color in water-based latex paints. Benefits include: improved stability of the finished latex, excellent pigment wetting and dispersion, low coagulation, better freeze/thaw resistance, and improved substrate wetting.
NEUTRALIZING AGENT
Neutralizing agents are organoamine blends that act as stabilizing additives designed for easy incorporation and long-term pH stability in all types of water-based latex paints.
FOAM CONTROL AGENTS
Foam control agents are developed to manage foam formation in water-based and alkyd paints. These are also commonly referred to as defoamers.
DISPERSING AGENTS
Dispersing agents are used to distribute pigments in emulsions and silicone resin-based paints. They are recommended for use in acrylic, styrene-acrylic, and vinyl-acrylic formulations.
PRESERVATIVE (BIOCIDE)
This component is used to prevent the degradation of water-based systems caused by bacteria, fungi, and yeasts in the paint industry.
FUNGICIDES
Fungicidal agents are used in water-based materials such as paints, colorants, coatings, writing inks, textiles, and laminates to prevent fungal growth.
ANTI-SKINNING AGENTS
Anti-skinning agents are methyl ethyl ketoximes used in paints that dry under environmental conditions. They are suitable for alkyd resins with varying oil lengths, drying oils, alkyd resins modified with styrene or vinyl toluene, and epoxy ester resins.
PAINT DRIERS
Paint driers act as oxidative catalysts and drying agents. They accelerate surface and in-depth drying in paints and lacquers.
FILLERS
Calcium carbonate is the most commonly used mineral in the paint industry, serving as both a filler and pigment due to its bright white color. It is extremely fine, easy to disperse, and made from high-purity white limestone. Its main applications are in: paints (both interior and exterior, synthetic and oil-based), and in the rubber, paper, plastic, and insulation industries.
ZINC PHOSPHATE
Zinc phosphate is a white, anti-corrosive pigment used in protective paints.

TITANIUM DIOXIDE
Titanium dioxide is the world’s leading pigment for providing whiteness, brightness, and high coverage.
COLOR PIGMENTS
Color pigments are primarily inorganic pigments based on iron oxides. They come in a variety of shades—red, black, brown, yellow, orange, green, blue—and have wide-ranging applications.
